About Me

Photographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Connor Matheson is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, and multimedia journalist based in Yorkshire, who specialises in documenting contemporary culture, current affairs, and social issues. With 10 years of experience working in diverse and challenging conditions for demanding clients, he has gained a well-rounded experience covering stories ranging from the Refugee Crisis to the boom in the free party scene. Last year he directed his first feature film, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), whereas his short-form documentaries regularly appear on BBC3. As a dedicated photojournalist with an observational and analytical eye, he has been commissioned by publications such as Der Spiegel, The BBC, and NME to cover everything from hard news to arts and culture.
